We periodically review the personal information we hold and securely delete or anonymise information that we no longer need.
Keeping your information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

POP Health Joy Index™
POP Health Communications has developed and operates the POP Health Joy Index™, a tool designed to help pharmaceutical companies understand and measure the quality of their relationships with patient organisations and communities.
Pharmaceutical companies using the POP Health Joy Index™ may invite representatives of patient organisations and communities, with whom they have worked, to provide structured feedback about that relationship.
Information we collect
If you participate in a POP Health Joy Index™ survey, we may collect the following information, depending on how the survey is set up:
- the organisation you represent;
- the patient community or communities you represent;
- your country;
- your responses to the questions; and
- information relating to when you complete or submit the survey.
The POP Health Joy Index™ is not intended to collect information about your health or medical treatment, or medical information about individual patients.
Please do not include personal medical information about yourself or another person, or information that could identify an individual patient, in your responses.
POP Health and the pharmaceutical company associated with the particular survey will be able to see your responses.
The pharmaceutical company commissioning the survey will be identified to you before you begin.
Your identifiable POP Health Joy Index™ responses will not be made available to other pharmaceutical companies.
How we use POP Health Joy Index™ information
We use information collected to:
- operate and administer the POP Health Joy Index™;
- analyse responses and POP Health Joy Index™ scores;
- provide dashboards, reports and insights;
- enable participating pharmaceutical companies to understand and assess their relationships with patient organisations;
- maintain, secure and improve the POP Health Joy Index™ platform; and
- develop industry benchmarks, trends and insights using appropriately anonymised and aggregated information.
Participation in the POP Health Joy Index™ will not, by itself, result in you being added to POP Health marketing communications.
We expect our core use of POP Health Joy Index™ information to be based on our legitimate interests, including enabling pharmaceutical companies to obtain structured feedback about their relationships. We take into account participants’ rights and reasonable expectations when relying on legitimate interests.
You have the right to object to our use of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests. To do so, please contact us at hello@pophealthcomms.com.
How long we keep POP Health Joy Index™ information
We normally keep identifiable POP Health Joy Index™ responses for five years from the date they are submitted.
At the end of this period, we will delete or anonymise the information unless there is a continuing need to keep it identifiable. Any continued retention will be kept under review.

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information.
These may include the right to:
